15 Things I Don’t Regret
Have you ever had anyone ask you what you don’t regret in your life? You really don’t hear this question a lot. Usually people ask just the opposite, what DO you regret in your life. I have been saying for a long time that we need more positivity in this world! Everyone is always so concerned about the bad things that happen to us, or the stupid decisions we have made. Why is it so hard to talk about the good decisions we have made? The reason I say this is because for me, when I was trying to think of 15 things I don’t regret, it was really hard. I immediately started thinking of the things I do regret. I believe we are always so hard on ourselves and that we need to start thinking of the good things in our lives. I wanted to share with you my top 15 things I don’t regret in my life. I hope this post inspires you to reflect on your own life and allows you to praise yourself on the good decisions you have made.
Having my baby Skylar (she is 4 now!!)
Going to Cosmetology school
Getting my child baptized.
Finding a good church
Letting go of some toxic friendships
Standing up for myself when needed
Working with kids
Putting my daughter in daycare
Choosing to stay home with my daughter instead of going out with friends
Breaking up with my daughter’s “dad”
Getting rid of stuff I don’t need
Quitting figure skating
Moving in with my boyfriend (my love)
Starting a blog
Quitting jobs I knew weren’t for me
I want to highlight a few things I don’t regret in my life. I had Skylar when I was 22 outside of marriage and I don’t regret it one bit. She has completely turned my life around and I have so much love for that little girl it’s insane! I also know that I wouldn’t have met my lovely boyfriend, Tommy and that we wouldn’t be living together right now. I don’t regret letting go of toxic friendships. This meaning that there are some people in our lives that we just have to let go. They are negative people who stress us out or get us into trouble. Let them go, you don’t need them! Another thing I don’t regret is finding an amazing church and developing a relationship with Jesus Christ. I am so proud of myself and I am so happy to have Him in my life. I am not as anxious or depressed, and I have so much hope for my future. If you are looking for some really amazing sermons, check out Eagle Brook Church online. They post their weekly sermons for anyone to watch. It will completely change your life. I would love to hear what you all don’t regret in your life. Post your top 3 in the comments!
