Our Crazy Awesome 4th Of July Weekend

Okay, so I am officially in love with the 4th of July. Like, I actually think I like it more than Christmas! It is way less stressful, the weather is always great and everyone seems to be pretty healthy. The kids are happy to be running around outside and who doesn’t love camping, smores’, fireworks and carnivals? I love it so much and this weekend was a perfect time with friends and family. It is Friday, and I am still exhausted from the weekend before, I am going to have to take some time to relax. We started our weekend camping with my in-laws and it was a ton of fun. My daughter, Skylar played with her little cousin and it was so fun to watch them together. Skylar will be 5 in September and I am really loving this age. She is becoming more independent and loves to play with other kids. It’s great, but also sad…like how is she already 5 this year?! I feel like she was just born. (Tears falling down my face)

Anyways back to our weekend.

On Monday we had my cousins and some friends over for the afternoon to watch a parade, swim in the backyard and later walked to the carnival that was in my neighborhood. We are really loving our house because we finally have a yard that Skylar can run around in, and it’s so awesome to have a summer carnival right down the street. Sky had a ton of fun and she was so exhausted by the end of the weekend. It was hard to get up for work and preschool on Wednesday morning.

This wagon is the best thing I have ever bought. It folds up so you can put it in your car! It’s great for the beach and other summer activities.

Sky has become such a great friend. She is so loving and cares so much about other kids. Whenever someone is sad, she is always right by them helping them out or rubbing their back. I am so proud of the little girl she is becoming.

I wish I could be super entertained by bubbles. They had so much fun!

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! Check out my favorite things I used for the weekend…
